Breath+Oneness’ Thailand Yoga + Cultural Retreat

Developing Exquisite Presence To Harvest The Nectar Within Every Present Moment

October 16-29, 2025

with Carrie Arlah Burr and Laxman Panthi

From lush mountains and rainforests to stunning coastlines and islands, join us for our adventurous and nourishing Breath+Oneness’ Yoga Thailand Adventure this Fall!

For two weeks we will travel through Thailand, visiting Bangkok, Chiang Mail, and Phuket, exploring rich historical sites, delicious cuisine, fun shopping opportunities, vibrant culture, and the deep-rooted heritage of the land once known as Golden Siam.

Laxman and Carrie will offer yoga and meditation twice per day, in the morning and late afternoon, to support your whole being in vibrant wellness, which will ensure optimal states for full immersion in the presence of each magical moment unfolding.

We will explore ancient temples, bustling city markets, tropical beaches, and try delicious new foods and cultural experiences, balancing activity with stillness, urban time with mountain and rainforest time, and travel with grounding and savoring each unique place.

October 16-18

Initiating our adventure together in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, we will ground ourselves in one of the world’s best loved and most visited cities. This is due to its bustling and vibrant street life, ornate shrines and temples, internationally renowned cuisine, affordability, cleanliness and safety, and the friendliness of the Thai people.

The boat-filled Chao Phraya River feeds its network of canals, flowing past the Rattanakosin royal district, home to opulent Grand Palace and its sacred Wat Phra Kaew Temple. Nearby is Wat Pho Temple with an enormous reclining Buddha and, on the opposite shore, Wat Arun Temple with its steep steps and Khmer-style spire.

We will see these and other beautiful and evocative sites as we walk through the city streets, eating world-renowned “street food”, visiting colorful and interesting markets, and enjoying the vibrant aliveness of this metropolitan hub of Southeast Asia.

Where we’ll be staying:

The Quarter Saladaeng by UHG, with an exceptional location right in the city center, and all the amenities we’ll need to be comfortable.

The Quarter Saldaeng

From Bangkok we’ll ride by train to Chiang Mai, which is a beautiful and scenic route that will allow us to see the Thai countryside including lush rice paddies, rural villages, and even some national parks and mountain ranges. It is a comfortable and interesting ride, passing by quickly and giving us a good sense of what the country of Thailand looks like. This train ride is covered within your Retreat cost and we will book it for you.

October 19-22

Regarded as the cultural heartland of modern Thailand, Chiang Mai is in the North of the country and is filled with temples, boasting an independent history and rich heritage. Founded in 1296, this city served for almost 500 years as the capital of what was known as the Lanna Kingdom.

Chiang Mai represents a fascinating window into the past, with old and new sitting side by side. Glistening Buddhist stupas and barefoot monks are overwhelmed by a more modern metropolis today, but ancient customs and beautiful ornate temples are still the biggest draw for visitors from around the world.

We will visit local temples such as the 14th-century Wat Phra Singh and the 15th-century Wat Chedi Luang and walk through the historic Old Town, which still retains walls and moats from its remote history. Those who are interested will also visit the famous night market, with it’s robust vitality and amazing diversity of foods, sights, smells, shopping, and cultural exchange.

We will also visit an Elephant Sanctuary while in Chiang Mai as well as go on a hike into the mountains to the highest mountain in Thailand to immerse ourselves in nature as well as experience the iconic twin pagodas of Doi Inthanon. On our way back we’ll spend some time with one of the most picturesque waterfalls in the country, Mae Ya Waterfall.

Where we’ll be staying:

Nestled in Chiang Mai's cultural heart, Away Chiang Mai Thapae is minutes from iconic landmarks and the historic Thapae Gate, while also being an oasis for wellness and tranquility.

Away Chiang Mai

From Chiang Mai we will fly to Phuket, an island off the western coast of the southern Thai peninsula, which is a 2-hour flight.

This flight is covered within your Retreat cost and we will book it for you.

October 23-27

For tropical island vibes we’ll spend some time on one of the world’s most picturesque and famous isles, Phuket. Known around the world for it’s natural beauty, fun activities, delicious food, historic sites, and gorgeous beaches, we will spend a few days relaxing or adventuring to our heart’s content as we wind down our trip with beautiful warm water and weather.

Day trips over water to nearby Phang Nga Bay and “James Bond” island are available for the adventurous, as well as snorkeling, diving, island hopping, and exploring national parks. Also available are cooking classes and local excursions.

On-site spa services include Steam Saunas, Himalaya Rock-Salt Infrared Sauna, Tourmaline & Germanium Stone Far-Infrared Dome Sauna, Magnesium Bath Jacuzzi, massages, and other spa services.

Where we’ll be staying:

Perched atop a verdant hill with gorgeous ocean views, Mangosteen is a family owned and operated wellness resort spreading out over 25,000 square meters of lush tropical gardens.
